Expect nothing but the best from this highly functional digital tuner!

  • Wide Detection Range from A0-C8
  • Bypass function
  • Compact Chromatic Tuner, ideal for use with brass band or orchestra
  • Large, High-precision LCD needle-style meter

  • Auto Power Off function
  • Memory Backup function
  • Approximately 85 hours of continuous use

Wide Detection Range
With a wide range that covers A0 (27.50 Hz) - C8 (4186.01 Hz), you can tune a variety of instruments with the Korg CA-40, including wind, string, and keyboard instruments. The pitch and range are detected quickly and accurately. You can use the built-in high-sensitivity microphone to detect the pitch of an acoustic instrument without the need for any other equipment. Alternatively, you can use the separately sold CM-100 contact microphone to send the vibration of the instrument directly to the tuner, so that you can tune accurately without worrying about other sounds in the environment. An output jack (bypass) has been added to this digital tuner, making it easy to check the tuning even while you perform.

Conveniently thin and compact The pocket-sized CA-40 features a refined design with a stand on the back that lets you place this digital tuner on any surface.

Large, high-precision LCD meter
The CA-40's display has been enlarged for even clearer visibility. In addition to providing both the accuracy of an LCD and the easy viewing of a needle-style meter, red and green LEDs are also provided to indicate pitch deviations, making tuning smooth and easy.

Sound Out function
In addition to letting you tune visually using the meter, this digital tuner provides a Sound Out function that plays a reference tone through the internal speaker, allowing you to tune by ear. You can adjust the reference tone in semitone steps over a range of C4 through C5 (one octave) to accommodate a variety of instruments. Since the reference tone you specify is remembered, it's easy to sound it again whenever you need to.

Adjustable Calibration
The Calibration function of this hand held tuner lets you adjust the pitch in 1 Hz steps over a range of 410 - 480 Hz in order to accommodate a variety of concert pitches, giving you the flexibility to tune accurately to any song or key. There's also a memory backup function that preserves the Calibration setting and Sound Out settings even when you turn off the power.

Auto Power Off function
The power of this digital tuner will turn off automatically if the unit is left powered-on for 20 minutes without performing any operation, avoiding unnecessary battery consumption.

Approximately 85 hours of continuous use
The CA-40 is designed for long battery life, and allows approximately 85 hours of continuous use (continuous A4 input, Meter mode, zinc-carbon batteries).

* Even if a sound is within the detectable pitch range, detection may be unsuccessful for instrumental sounds that contain a large number of overtones or decay rapidly.

** The calibration setting and the Sound Out reference pitch are remembered even when you turn off the power. However, when you replace the batteries, these settings will be initialized to the default values; the calibration will return to 440 Hz, and the Sound Out reference pitch will return to A.See more ....

Customer Reviews ...

Simply amazing!
If you are primarily a snare drummer you must invest in these anti-vibes! I have gone through probably 9 or 10 pairs and I have no problem spending a few extra bucks to get these sticks. You can totally tell the difference, I know it sounds weird but these sticks are just overall smooth.

AWESOME!!!!
The Sticks really feel great. They are a stick of the future. These are great for any drummer; Beginer,Intermediate,or Professional. I would definately recommend theses sticks for concert percussion and even drum sets. Take my word, THEY ARE AWESOME. You can't even feel a vibration, at all!

Good preventative medicine
Our daughter's percussion instructor recommended these anti-vibe sticks to keep potential wrist damage to a minimum as the years go by. We've been very happy with them. They're made with the quality you'd expect from a Zildjian product. These were shipped pretty quickly, also.

Alesis DM6 Kit Performance Electronic Drumset

Alesis DM6 Kit Performance Electronic Drumset

The perfect choice for aspiring drummers everywhere.

The Alesis DM6 USB Kit highlights the best of Alesis' 20 years of experience in professional electronic percussion gear. This electronic drum set features a completely new sound module with 108 quality drum, cymbal, and percussion sounds. Its pads feel great and its hardware and rack system are high quality.

UNMISTAKABLE ALESIS FEEL
Like all Alesis drum sets, the DM6 USB Kit features realistic, natural-feeling playing surfaces. To reduce vibration feedback, we selected natural rubber drum and cymbal surfaces for the DM6 USB Kit's pads. This five-piece kit gets you started on a dual-zone snare pad for two-sound compatibility. You can dial in a snare drum sound in the center and a rim click, rimshot, or something totally different like a cowbell on the rim!

The DM6 USB Kit also comes with three tom pads, an upright kick drum pad, hi-hat, crash, and ride cymbal pads. It even comes with an Alesis bass drum pedal and the kick pad is compatible with any single or double bass drum pedal for your personal feel.

OUTSTANDING SOUND
The DM6 module features an internal collection of top-notch drum, cymbal, and percussion sounds that will blow you away. You can edit and save your drum kits for custom sounds. You get 10 presets and 5 custom slots. In addition to the sounds in the DM6 module, there's a USB output that sends the notes you play out as MIDI signal, so you can use the DM6 as a trigger-to-MIDI interface with drum-module software such as BFD, Toontrack, or Reason for a limitless collection of sounds.

The DM6 has headphone and amplifier outputs so you can play quietly in phones or connect up and rock out. You can also connect your iPod or CD player and mix it in with the DM6's stereo input jack.

PRACTICE TOOLS
The DM6 module has a metronome, an essential tool for keeping steady time whether you're practicing alone or with a band. The DM6 also has a built-in sequencer with 40 preset music tracks for play along.

RUGGED HARDWARE
A drumset is only as strong as its weakest link. The DM6 USB Kit mounts on a heavy-duty aluminum rack. The standard 1 1/2" tubing enables you to add on with Alesis and other brands' clamps and mounts. The kit also comes with a full set of mounting hardware and cables, as well as rugged kick drum and hi-hat pedals.

Customer Reviews ...

Best Drumset EVER !!!
I've had my Alesis DM6 drumset up and running for a couple days and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Up until now any electronic drumset in the $500 range was nothing more than a toy. Because I know that Alesis knows how to make great electronic drumsets I was hoping that their experience making higher end kits would trickle down to this brand new DM6 line. It did. This drumset is fabulous when you consider the price point and, in fact, has no real competition that I could find.

Pros:
- Everything is included. I've looked at a lot of drumsets and many don't include everything you need like bass drum pedals and more. This has everything you need to play right our of the box, even a pair of drum sticks. OK, a couple things not included you will need and that's a set of headphones and a throne (chair) to sit on.
- Sturdy, well made components. The natural rubber drum heads are quiet but have a very good feel and rebound to them. The rubber cymbals are not as quiet as the drum heads but do what they are supposed to do very nicely. All metal hi-hat and bass pedals. Wide diameter aluminum frame rails and compoents.
- Very realistic sounding drum samples.
- Dual zone snare. You can make the snare sound like a rimshot when you hit the rim. Or program it for a cowbell when you play "Don't Fear the Reaper". Or make it sound like any of the other drum sounds included.
- Ability to interface with your computer via USB. This opens up a world of options including MIDI and recording your performances on your favorite recording software. I don't know of any sub $500 kit of this quality that does that.
- MY FAVORITE THING is I just plug in my iPod into the DM6 module and I can play right along to my favorite songs.
- You can buy an ION Drum Rocker module (I was able to get one on eBay, not sold by Alesis) and use this kit for your Rockband drumset. You'll need 8 new cables too, so while there is extra expense, it's possible

Drum on!
I recently bought this set and I LOVE IT. In the past I've had a full-size Tama set and another set as well. I also had a Roland TDK-7 that I could never get adjusted to suit me.

This kit, however, is so much better and more responsive than the Roland set. The rack was very easy to setup, and my only gripe would be that it would have been nice if the connecting cables had been a bit longer. I was nervous with the standard setup that had the control module between the toms. Even though it sets back a bit, I had visions of whomping on it and decided to make some adjustments. I put the clamp for the crash symbol on the back bar instead of the left side bar, and moved the clamp for the module to the left side bar. That put it totally out of harm's way, however, it was a stretch for the 'floor tom' cable to reach the pad, but with a little adjustment it got there.

Everything you need is in the box except for a seat. The rack is there, all the electronics and cables are there, and even the drum sticks are included. Updates to the module can be done from your computer after downloading them from Alesis; you will need a USB cable to do that (not included, but a standard easily found cable).

The pads have a strange 'sticky' feel to them but they have a nice natural-feeling bounce and are fun to play. The symbols look and react like metal cymbals and the sound is very realistic. The pad used for the snare is a dual function pad, with the rim of the pad being slightly raised and producing a different sound. In the standard kit it sounds like the 'rim shot' that you would expect.

Others have made observations about the pedals creeping, but I'm not having that issue. I have an area rug with a rubber back that is on a laminate floor with the drums on the rug; no creeping so far. The pedals are very responsive and the adjustments for the pads are great. I was up and running very quickly. I do agree that several of the pre-programmed kits sound a whole lot alike and it would have been nice to get more variety.

I read about some issues with the snare missing some hits and the ride cymbal going to the bell a little too quickly and downloaded the recommended software update. Although that went well, the instructions had a few omissions and a couple of errors that I reported to Alesis. For your average computer-savvy person, it would not be a huge problem and I was able to figure it out.

Perfect gift for aspiring percussionists
My 8-year-old daughter told me she wanted a set of drums for Christmas. I instantly knew that they had to be electronic to maintain the peace. I also knew that I couldn't justify spending more than $500 on a kit. So, the search began. I came away with the understanding that the DM6 is the best value out there, but that Alesis was still working out some bugs. I also read that a firmware upgrade purportedly fixes the known bugs.

I decided to go with the DM6, and I am very pleased that I did. The build quality is great. Like other reviewers, I noticed some quirks (like missed hits). I already knew that I might need to update the firmware, so I did and the quirks went away. All you need is a computer (Windows) with a USB cable. The instructions for upgrading the firmware are not as clear as I would like, but it was fairly straight forward. You might want some help from a friend if you have never done this before.

The sound is incredibly realistic. There are certainly better drum kits out there, but none come close to the value of the DM6! If you or a child want to explore the world of percussion, then get the DM6. It should have a decent resale value should your interest wane, or if you outgrow it. When my daughter plays it with headphones on, all I hear is the pitter-patter of the rubber pads---SUCCESS!

I should also note that the pedals are designed to be used on carpet. Velcro lets the pedals stick to the carpet. The pedals will scratch wood floors unless you place a mat (like I did) underneath. It needs to be big enough so the throne (stool) is also on top the mat, so the pedals (and mat) do not walk away as you play.

Great Starter Guitar
I shopped around at music stores to price a good starter guitar. I was told about this product. After I went home I looked it up on line and the price was much less here through Amazon. I am very happy with the guitar so far.

Great beginner accoustic!
We bought this last year for our son who wanted to learn the guitar. Let's just say I was pleasantly pleased with the quality of this guitar to say the least. Great quality with great sound... not an "el cheepo". I recommend this HIGHLY to anyone wanting to buy for a beginner, or even a amateur player.

Excellent Guitar and accessories
I purchased this item as a gift for my 16 daughter who said she wanted a guitar. The accessories that come with the guitar are wonderful. You would end up paying a whole lot more if you had to buy them extra. She loves the guitar. It is great for a beginner or for someone who is advancing. The sound is beautiful and the quality of the guitar itself is very high.

Dunlop Standard Tortex Picks, 12 Pack, Green, .88mm

Dunlop Standard Tortex Picks
  • The pick used by top musicians worldwide
  • Available in a variety of shapes and gauges

Tortex picks are carefully designed and manufactured to give the characteristic maximum memory and minimum wear that made original tortoise shell famous.

Customer Reviews ...

My dream pick
I know a lot of guitarists aren't near as picky about picks as I am. So why should you be? After all, there is no pick that will make you play better and they are all generally the same.
WRONG. I thought that too at first. I figured it's just a piece of plastic, how hard can it be to pick one? I started out with fender pick because they looked pretty conventional and they were moderately priced. I blindly went through about ten of these due to them all breaking.

If you knew me well you'd know that I thrash my guitar...a lot... Even the thickest picks would wear down on me within a week, and most of them were too slick to stay in my sweaty hand during these crash and burn guitar playing moments. I came to realize that I needed a heavy duty pick with a good grip that would retain it's shape for at least a couple of weeks.
At first I thought metal was the answer. I mean, it's hard as rock and most of them come with a good grip on them. But after playing with them I discovered the sound was not to my liking. It sounded too buzzy with metal. That's about the time I discovered tortex picks. I was amazed. They had the best grip I have ever felt and kept their shape for weeks! I instantly bought every size I could get all the way from the thinnest read to the bulky blue one.
Months later I'm keeping a stock of these picks in my house. For solos I prefer the green one because it's got just the right resistance for that fast picking but not too much so that it slows you down. For strumming I use the orange. It's just perfect... I cannot express to you how much you need to try this pick. Your wasting your money on anything other than Dunlop. Get the tortex and see what I mean!

Good picks
I love these. Nice matte surface for gripping. They never break, and it takes me months to wear one down.

My new Favorites
Like other beginner guitarist, I thought a thinner pick meant better speed and playing. WRONG.
I ordered these based on the majority of five star reviews and was not disappointed at all. I love them. My speed has gone up and the guitar just sounds better.
Unlike others I didn't have a problem with the shipping. All the picks arrived in the original package though the box was still unnecessarily large. Concerning the ink bleeding problem other reviewers had, I haven't noticed anything like it. The ink just slowly fades over time thought I will admit I never put them in my mouth so I'm not sure how that factors... Just don't eat them.
Also they are durable as heck. Used the same pick for a month and the only difference is it loses the slightly powdered green it comes in and turns a shade darker. Overall very happy with them and would recommend the picks to anyone and everyone.

Gibson ES-335 Electric Guitar

Gibson ES-335
Gibson has always been a guitar maker steeped in tradition. So, after revolutionizing the guitar world with the solidbody Les Paul model in the 1950s, Gibson made a bold return to its roots by offering an electric guitar that encompassed the benefits of a solidbody guitar, but in the image of an acoustic archtop. The result was the ES-335, which was first released in 1958, but would eventually reach its most desirable form one year later in 1959. Now, 50 years after reaching this zenith in semi-acoustic guitar design, Gibson Custom is proud to reintroduce one of the most celebrated guitars in its history, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue. This limited production model from Gibson Custom captures this desirable classic in greater detail than any “reissue”-style guitar previously produced. It is truly an instrument born in the image of its inspiration. Starting with the traditional plain laminated maple top, back and sides, with single-ply crème binding on both the top and back, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue is true to the original’s ’59 specs in almost every detail. Its one-piece, 24-¾ inch scale length mahogany neck features a long tenon, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and a rounded ’59 neck profile. In addition to its period-correct look, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue recreates the legendary tone of the original model by utilizing a pair of Gibson’s renowned ’57 Classic humbucking pickups, which is the closest thing to original “PAF” pickups on the market today. High-quality CTS volume and tone potentiometers with “bumble bee” capacitors offer a fundamental electronics package, thus insuring the guitar’s unique tone is captured and delivered with the utmost accuracy and originality. Other traditional appointments include vintage tulip tuners, a holly headstock veneer and all nickel hardware, including an ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece. The 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue is available in Antique Vintage Sunburst or Antique Natural finishes, in either standard gloss or V.O.S. treatments. Each guitar comes with a custom shop reissue case, certificate of authenticity and is strictly limited to just 250 guitars per finish.

Gibson ES-137 Classic Electric Guitar, Tri Burst

Gibson ES-137 Classic at a Glance:
  • Semi-hollowbody design with curly maple laminated top, back and sides in Tri Burst finish with multi-ply binding
  • Chunky '59 profile mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid trapezoid inlays and engraved "C" at 12th fret
  • Two hot humbuckers - 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge)

A Very Special New Gibson
Can you say, "Instant classic?" Certainly the critics are unanimous of their praise for this instrument, with its wide array of tones, as well as the handsome lines which evoke those great old Gibson archtops, but this time in a thinner, semi-hollowbody design. It still keeps the traditional f-holes, but thanks to the thinline design, feedback is kept under control. The modern humbuckers can go from dark and smoky to full-out snarl, all depending upon your choice of amplification or outboard gear. The Tri Burst finish is decidedly 21st Century.

Not Too Fat, Not Too Thin
No, we're not talking about the latest fad diet, we're talking about the 1959 ES-137's neck profile. It's not as big as those huge 1958 Les Paul necks, but neither is it as thin as the 1960s so-called "slim taper" neck profiles. In any case, the combination of a nice, rounded three-piece maple neck and the warmth of a rosewood fingerboard is what the ES-137 Classic is all about. It's not for everyone, of course. Today's shredders will want a thinner neck, but the ES-137 is hardly a guitar they'd be looking at anyhow.

Two Smoking Hot Humbuckers On Board
Today's humbuckers truly have it all: Complex midrange, punchy lows and a smooth top end that won't make your teeth hurt. For those seeking the often overused "out-of-phase" session sound which ruled the airwaves back in the 1980s, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a pickup that starts out clean and can really smoke when your amp is on 11, well then, this might be your next guitar!

Gibson ES-137 Classic Features:
  • Color: Tri Burst Burst
  • Top: Maple / poplar / maple
  • Back: Maple / poplar / maple
  • Sides: Maple / poplar / maple
  • Neck: Three-piece maple with '59 rounded profile
  • Fingerboard: Rosewood with pearloid trapezoid inlays
  • Number of frets: 22
  • Pickups: Two humbuckers - 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge)
  • Controls: Two each tone and volume with three-way pickup selector switch
  • Machine heads: Grover Keystone
  • Hardware: Chrome plated
  • Case: Black smooth levant hardshell

Gibson: Don't Mess with a Good Thing
Gibson guitars have been around for well over a century. When guitarists are looking for an outstanding combination of superb tone and playability along with great looks and gorgeous finishes, the choice for most of those 100 plus years has been Gibson. From their amazing collection of fine acoustics to the electric guitars that literally rewrote music history, Gibson guitars have been on almost every chart-topping album from artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Cream and Led Zeppelin. These "first call" instruments also cross an enormous array of diverse styles, from folk and country to blues and hard rock. With that resume, it's not surprising that so many of Gibson's best-selling instruments have changed little over the decades. Because there's just no sense in messing with a good thing!
